Spring 2025 update from Dave’s woodshop

Hi Folks,

Well, after an old-fashioned “tough winter,” it looks like the weather has finally settled down. I drove through Crystal Mountain Resort last week and, surprisingly, there’s still snow lingering in a few ravines up in the hilltops—it just doesn’t want to give up yet.

As we head toward summer, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that I’m pretty much recovered from my hip surgery and staying busy in my wood shop. Right now, I have a really nice inventory of our Great Lakes freshwater fish carvings, so feel free to swing by and get first pick.

Also, for something different this winter, I carved a trio of Alaskan puffins. They were a lot of fun to work on, and I’m really happy with how they turned out.

Please give me a call before stopping by, as this time of year I like to spend as much time as I can out in the “boonies.” Hope to see you soon and show you everything I’ve been working on!

Tight lines,
Dave Kober
