The process of creating a work of art, but which also has a practical function, starts with a simple piece of Michigan white cedar.

Somewhere inside each block of wood lies an individual character and personality. Each of my fish decoys is unique. No two are ever the same as it's the wood which dictates the final appearance. Also no two fish will ever be identical. Many environmental factors affect a fish's appearance.

Although many of my decoys will never see actual water each one has been tested to make sure it really swims realistically.

When the big fish bites down - then that's a real proof of whether it's true to nature or not!
